
2-6 March 2026 – The Turkish International Academy against Drugs and Organized Crime (TADOC), together with the CICA Secretariat, organized an online training course on risk analysis and search techniques for representatives of CICA Member States. The course was attended by experts from several countries, including Azerbaijan, Bahrain and Sri Lanka.
The event was hosted by the Republic of Türkiye in its capacity as coordinator of CICA confidence building measures in the priority area “New Challenges and Threats.” The training was aimed at exchanging experience and strengthening the capacity of law enforcement agencies of the Member States in the field of detecting and preventing crimes related to illicit trafficking in drugs, weapons and ammunition, smuggling, illegal migration, as well as the illegal movement of financial resources and cultural property.
Participants were introduced to modern approaches to risk assessment and profiling, as well as practical techniques for searching persons, vehicles, cargo and premises. Particular attention was given to common methods used to conceal illegal assets, methods of detecting them, and security considerations during search operations.

The training organized by TADOC received positive feedback from participants, who emphasized its practical relevance and contribution to strengthening the professional skills of specialists.
The Republic of Türkiye, as coordinator of the priority area “New Challenges and Threats (general)” within the implementation of the CICA confidence building measures, has accumulated significant experience in conducting training courses for Member States. This event represented another contribution by Türkiye to building the capacities of law enforcement agencies in the Member States and fostering practical cooperation within CICA.
Further training activities organized by TADOC for CICA Member States are expected to take place in 2026, aimed at sharing best practices and improving the professional skills of law enforcement officials.
