Objective:
The Forum aims to strengthen regional cooperation and exchange best practices in data protection within the CICA region as part of Confidence Building Measures in the priority area “Security of and in the use of ICTs.” Discussions will focus on global data protection trends, international standards, and ethical principles; cross-border data flows and accountability of global platforms; protection of children and vulnerable groups in the digital age; and capacity-building for data protection authorities, controllers, and processors. The event will also highlight opportunities for developing cohesive regulatory approaches and facilitating safe cross-border data exchange among CICA Member States.
