CICA related panel session at the 2024 Astana Finance Days (AFD) Forum

Theme: Ways to expand economic and financial interaction among CICA Member States

Format: Experts meeting in the form of a round table within the 2024 AFD Forum (information attached). Open to the CICA Member States only, including registered participants of the AFD Forum. All expenses are to be covered by the participants themselves.

Date and time: 6 September 2024, at 15:00-16:30 by Astana time

Venue: Singapore meeting room, C3.4, 2^nd floor, Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), Astana

Objective: Discussing the initiative on the institutionalization of the CICA Finance Summit as proposed in the concept paper and draft regulations of the CICA Finance Summit (available at https://s-cica.org/docs/201208688766ab2f719e257.pdf), as well as exchanging expert views on the effective mechanisms to amplify economic and financial cooperation among CICA Member States.

Goals:

1. Introduction and exchange of views on the initiative to institutionalize the CICA Finance Summit as a regular dialogue platform for deepening cooperation in the financial field in the CICA area.
2. Presentation of the AIFC’s role as an institution for facilitating regional economic integration and investment opportunities, while providing insights on the instruments and measures available in the AIFC which can be leveraged to amplify economic and financial cooperation among CICA countries, as well as the AIFC’s role as a regional fund domicile and private equity investments hub.

Agenda:

1. Adoption of the agenda.
2. Discussion on the effective mechanisms for ensuring cooperation in economic and financial fields across the CICA Member States, including the CICA Finance Summit.
3. Any other business.
