Laureates of international prize #WeAreTogether were awarded at a ceremony in Moscow from 1 to 5 December 2021. Deputy Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat Ms. Chi Fang, who is a member of the Organizing Committee of the prize, participated online in the award ceremony, at the invitation of Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (ROSMOLODEZH) Kseniya Razuvaeva.

The annual international prize #WeAreTogether is awarded to citizens and organizations for their contribution to solving humanitarian and social problems around the world. In 2021, the prize was dedicated to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, during which a thousand of citizens from different parts of the world proved by personal example what human kindness and responsiveness are capable of in difficult times.

The laureates of the prize were caring citizens, organizations and volunteers who made a significant contribution to reducing the damage caused to various areas of life by the spread of the coronavirus infection. Ms. Chi Fang contributed to the selection of the best candidates.

Such important events are of positive significance. Therefore, the Russian Federation as a CICA Member State pays special attention to the development and promotion of the institution of volunteering, including to strengthen humanitarian interaction between peoples. It is gratifying that this message was reflected in the speech of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who personally took part in the ceremony on 5 December.

It is worth noting that the winners of international prize “We are together” included representatives of seven CICA Member States, in particular Azerbaijan, China, India, Israel, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Turkey. The CICA Secretariat supports the initiative of Russia to develop volunteering as a promising direction for further strengthening of interaction and confidence building measures within the framework of the Conference.
