It is a great honor to congratulate you all with 28th anniversary of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and express my gratitude to all Member States for their support to the CICA process.
Thanks to the goodwill of the CICA Member States the initiative, launched by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at the 47th Session of the UN General Assembly, has proved its viability and become a unique platform that united 27 countries of Asian continent.
CICA managed to raise the level of confidence in the Asian region, extend partner relations and strengthen involvement to international and regional affairs. The Forum has accumulated significant potential and is steadily advancing in its development.
Under current circumstances, when Asian region is undergoing through turbulent processes, CICA’s accumulated experience of interaction between various cultures, confessions and models of development has an instrumental role in providing security in Asia.
Dear friends,
From my part, I want to assure you that the Secretariat will continue to actively engage with all Member States in its pursuit of an efficient and practical measures for the benefit of the CICA process. I look forward for close cooperation in our common goal for promoting security in Asia.
In conclusion I would like to express my gratitude to all CICA Member States for their strong support and active participation in the development of the Forum.
