On November 05, 2020, The Executive Director H.E. Ambassador Mr. Kairat Sarybay paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Mr. Majid Samadzadeh Saber of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nur-Sultan.
Executive Director commended Iran’s active participation within CICA, especially in role of coordinator of CBM in ‘Combating illicit drugs’, and briefed about the upcoming events and CICA Chair’s vision. The parties discussed the further possible contribution from Iranian side in capacity of coordinator of CBM in ‘Natural Disaster management’ and also other potential areas of cooperation.
During the warm and engaging meeting, the interlocutors agreed that member states must work together on issues of common interests and aspire to create an environment of confidence to cooperate in achieving common goals. Parties also agreed to internationalize the Secretariat by having work force from different geographical regions of CICA Space.
H.E. Mr. Majid Samadzadeh Saber assured for Iran’s continuous support and active participation in proposed CICA initiatives.
