On 11 September 2024, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) resumed an online Special Working Group (SWG) meeting under the Chairmanship of Kazakhstan, facilitated by the CICA Secretariat. The meeting marked the end of the first round of discussions on updating the draft CICA Rules of Procedure.
This is one of the eight areas of the Road Map for CICA Transformation into a full-fledged regional international organization launched in 2022.
The previous sessions of the SWG, held on 20 and 27 August, initiated a series of consultations focused on preparations for the upcoming 7th Ministerial Council in December 2024 in Baku.
