On 24-26 September 2024, CICA Deputy Secretary General Ms. Zhang Ling took part in the Eurasia Global International Youth Forum in Orenburg, Russia. The forum brought together more than 500 young participants, including representatives of youth associations and international organizations from 115 countries around the world.
At the opening of the event, a message from President of the Russian Federation V. Putin was read to the participants, emphasizing the importance of involving young people in strengthening good neighbourliness and fostering equal cooperation among representatives of different peoples and cultures.
The CICA Deputy Secretary General addressed the panel session "Asia in the Focus of International Friendship" as an expert joining speakers from India, Laos and Russia. In her speech, the Deputy Secretary General introduced the audience to the activities of CICA, highlighting the robust cooperation among Member States in the human dimension, including the areas of volunteerism and youth policy. She also informed the participants about the upcoming CICA Rally of Volunteer Movement Leaders, organized under the auspices of the CICA Youth Council, which will take place on 3-4 October 2024 in Astana at the initiative of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev.
Ms. Zhang Ling commended Russia's role in CICA and expressed gratitude to the organizers of Eurasia Global for their efforts in making the forum a prestigious platform for international youth dialogue, which continues to bring together an increasing number of participants from around the world.
