Kyrgyzstan is committed to the goals and objectives of the CICA in line with the principles of its multi-vector and pragmatic foreign policy H.E. President of Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Sadyr Zhaparov stated during the meeting with representatives of international organizations in Bishkek.
On invitation of H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ruslan Kazakbayev, Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat, Ambassador K.Sarybay, took part in the ceremony on assumption of office of the newly elected President of Kyrgyz Republic Mr. S.Zhaparov, held on 28 January in Bishkek.
At the meeting following the inauguration, Ambassador K. Sarybay warmly congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan on his landslide victory in the elections and briefed him on the current dynamics in the Forum’s development.
It was noted, that CICA is an effective platform for multi-vector and pragmatic international cooperation. In particular, policy on cultural revival, announced by the President Mr. S.Zhaparov in his inaugural speech, corresponds to the confidence building measures within the framework of CICA’s Human Dimension.
Ambassador K. Sarybay has also briefed the Head of Kyrgyz Republic on the activities of Kazakh Chairmanship in preparations for the 6th CICA Summit in 2022.
During the visit, the Executive Director K. Sarybay held a working meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Mr. R.Kazakbayev throughout which a wide range of issues of interaction within the CICA have been discussed, including the arrangements for the 6th Meeting of CICA Foreign Ministers scheduled in fall 2021, as well as cooperation of the Member States in overcoming the consequences of the global pandemic and the priorities of Kyrgyzstan as a co-coordinator of the CICA’s Human Dimension.
Ambassador K.Sarybay expressed his sincere gratitude to the host country for the invitation to such a significant event and wished the new leadership and people of Kyrgyzstan successful implementation of the plans on sustainable development, and assured that the CICA Secretariat is ready to assist in the implementation of the Kyrgyz priorities within the Forum.
