Astana, 19 November 2024 – CICA Secretary General Ambassador Kairat Sarybay received Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Cho Tae-ick on the occasion of the latest voluntary financial contribution by the Republic of Korea to the CICA Secretariat budget.
The Secretary General expressed his sincere gratitude to the Korean Government for its strong support and commitment to CICA through steadfast financial contribution.
Kairat Sarybay highlighted Republic of Korea’s leadership in implementing CICA confidence building measures in the priority areas of information technology and energy security and the outcomes of his recent visit to Seoul, where potential joint projects with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korea National Diplomatic Academy were discussed.
The Republic of Korea reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the long-term sustainability of the CICA Secretariat and advancing regional stability in Asia through enhanced cooperation and multilateral engagement within CICA.
Republic of Korea is the fourth largest contributor to the CICA budget following Kazakhstan, China and Türkiye.
