11 April 2025 — Antalya — The Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), H.E. Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, is undertaking a trip to Antalya to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF), held from 11 to 13 April 2025 under the auspices of H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Taking place under the theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World,” this year’s Forum emphasizes the urgent need to restore diplomacy as a stabilizing force amid escalating global tensions and increasing fragmentation.
Ambassador Kairat Sarybay will contribute to the panel discussion titled “The Role of Culture in Today’s World: Unifying or Dividing?”, where he will present CICA’s approach to strengthening cultural understanding and diversity as vital pillars of international peace and security. Drawing on CICA’s three-decade experience as Asia’s largest consensus-based intergovernmental forum, he will highlight the organization’s Human Dimension as a model for building trust through education, cultural exchange, and humanitarian cooperation.
Over the course of his visit, Ambassador Sarybay will hold a series of bilateral consultations with high-level representatives of foreign ministries, regional organizations, international institutions and academia. These discussions will focus on advancing CICA’s transformation, strengthening regional cooperation, and exploring joint responses to emerging global challenges such as climate change, migration, intercultural dialogue, and peacebuilding.
