Deputy Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat Ms. Chi Fang, officer Mr. Dharmendra Singh and Deputy Head of Mission, Minister-Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy Mr. Paradorn Rangsimaporn discussed a wide range of topical issues related to current activities and initiatives for the development of the Conference, as well as Thailand’s potential role in further advancing the CICA process, at a warm and friendly courtesy meeting held at the CICA Secretariat, in Nur-Sultan on February 23, 2021.
At the meeting the parties exchanged views on the issues of further internationalization and institutionalization of the forum and the CICA Secretariat, the plan of events within the framework of the Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship in the CICA and implementation of CICA Plan of Confidence Building Measures for 2021 year.
Ms. Chi Fang expressed gratitude to Mr. Rangsimaporn for the continued support and contribution from Thailand side through active participation in the CICA process and encouraged to further enhance the Thai role at the forum.
In turn, Mr. Rangsimaporn affirmed continued support and expressed readiness to explore the possibilities of enhanced role of Thailand within the CICA framework.
Following the results of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to maintain close working contacts and interact in the implementation of initiatives within the CICA platform.
