Newly arrived Ambassador of India is commited to contribute to the CICA process




 India’s important role in the CICA process and substantive and organizational aspects of the upcoming CICA Ministerial Meeting were discussed during the courtesy meeting held by CICA Executive Director Ambassador Kairat Sarybay with H.E. Shubhdarshini Tripathi, Ambassador of India in Nur-Sultan, on September 2, 2021.

Executive Director briefed newly arrived Ambassador on recent developments and initiatives within the CICA, including updated CICA Catalogue of Confidence Building Measures and conceptual approaches of the Kazakhstan Chairmanship to transformation of CICA into an international organization for regional security.  Ambassador Sarybay underlined India’s contribution as a co-coordinator of CBM’s on “Development of secure and effective systems of transportation corridors” and “Energy Security”.

Ambassador Tripathi expressed readiness to contribute to the CICA process and parties agreed to actively cooperate to strenthening CICA’s role in the global scale.
