I am glad to welcome to the CICA Headquarters Mr. Meshari Al-Sayegh, Charge d’affaires a.i. of Kuwait in Kazakhstan.
Today we mark another voluntary contribution (third one) by the State of Kuwait which has become a good February tradition ahead of the country’s National Day (February 25). It is symbolic that this year it occurred in the run-up to the holy month of Ramadan also coinciding with the Lunar New Year. I believe it is a good symbolic sign of friendship, trust and the abundance of diverse cultures in our vast CICA family.
In my congratulatory letter to the new Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, I emphasized that voluntary contributions of Kuwait reaffirm the country’s unwavering commitment to strengthening CICA and multilateralism in general.
One of the donations made by Kuwait was meant to promote multilingualism within CICA by translating the “Tales of Asia” publication into Arabic. So, today we can report great progress: the new set of books in Arabic and Kazakh was published last year and has been circulated throughout the Arab world and broader CICA region.
As the newest CICA Member State possessing immense human potential, cultural heritage and proactive diplomacy, I strongly believe that Kuwait can contribute an important added value to CICA.
Finally, I am thankful to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Astana for its active engagement in the CICA activities, including the events of the informal CICA Ambassadors Club in Astana.
