Ожидается, что участники представят меры, принимаемые СВМДА, ООН и другими международными и региональными организациями по достижению ЦУР и содействию обмену опытом и извлеченными уроками между их государствами-членами и международными организациями.

CICA-UN event in New York to strengthen global partnerships for sustainable development
The Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the UN, as Chair of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), in collaboration with the CICA Secretariat, will host a side event during the High-Level Week of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on 22 September 2023 to bolster implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development offers a comprehensive road map for a more sustainable and prosperous future. Challenges at regional and global levels continue to impact our global development progress and the realization of the SDGs. Sustainable development and addressing associated challenges cannot be achieved in isolation, and building robust global partnerships is of paramount importance. Therefore, concerted efforts of global and regional organizations, such as the UN and CICA, are required for translating these aspirations into tangible achievements.
Regional organizations, often facing limitations in terms of financial resources, technology, and institutional capacities, are at the forefront of development needs. The 2030 Agenda underscores the need for extensive international cooperation, including capacity building, resource mobilization, institution strengthening, increased investments, access to clean energy technologies, and innovation.
Strengthening the collaborative potential of regional organizations for SDG implementation presents a unique opportunity for developing countries with limited capacities to pool their resources, technology, and knowledge towards resilient and sustainable development pathways.
In this context, the CICA-UN side event on the margins of the annual UNGA session will serve to enhance cooperation among the United Nations, CICA, other regional organizations and UN Member States in advancing the SDGs.
The event will focus on:
Strengthening partnerships and fostering coordination on sustainable development and climate action.
Facilitating exchanges of experiences and lessons learned among Member States and international organizations.
Showcasing the efforts of CICA, other regional organizations and the United Nations in advancing the SDGs.
The event will bring together senior officials from Member States and international organizations for interactive discussion of critical topics related to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
