CICA Secretary General addresses the New Vision Forum in Almaty




Almaty, 11 October 2025 — The Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay participated in the New Vision Forum, contributing to the session “Logistics 2030: AI, Automation and New Supply Chains.” The Forum brought together over a thousand participants from business, academia, government institutions and international organizations, serving as a leading Eurasian platform for dialogue on innovation, sustainability and future-oriented economic transformation.

In his intervention, the Secretary General outlined that global logistics is undergoing a profound transformation driven by artificial intelligence, automation and green technologies, which are redefining the competitiveness of economies and the architecture of international trade. He emphasized that within the CICA framework, logistics represents not only an economic domain but also an instrument for building trust, connecting nations and strengthening peace through cooperation.

The Secretary General highlighted sustainable transport corridors, green logistics, digital innovation, smart connectivity and stronger public-private partnerships as key priorities for future development. He also underscored that the Republic of Azerbaijan, as CICA Chair-in-Office, places special emphasis on digitalization and connectivity, while Kazakhstan, as the initiator of CICA and a major Eurasian hub, continues to play a leading role in promoting international transport routes.

Ambassador Sarybay further highlighted that the future of logistics lies in the synergy between technology, sustainability and international cooperation, and reaffirmed CICA’s readiness to serve as a reliable platform for governments and businesses to advance these shared objectives.

The New Vision Forum reaffirmed the value of multilateral dialogue in generating practical solutions and partnerships that enhance regional connectivity, promote sustainable development and reinforce confidence building across Asia.
