The Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) extends its sincere congratulations to the Republic of Kazakhstan on the occasion of Republic Day.
Over three decades ago, Kazakhstan — guided by a vision of a secure and prosperous Asia — initiated the CICA process, which has since evolved into a prominent Pan-Asian platform for multilateral dialogue and cooperation, and is now steadily advancing towards becoming a full-fledged international organization.
This year marked a historic milestone for CICA, made possible by the decision of H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to provide the organization with a permanent Headquarters in Astana. The new CICA Headquarters stands as a tangible symbol of the trust placed in the idea of Asian cooperation and Kazakhstan’s enduring commitment to the principles of confidence building and dialogue.
The Secretariat expresses deep appreciation to the Host Country for its steadfast support throughout the years, which has enabled CICA’s steady institutional development and transformation. The solid foundation laid under Kazakhstan’s chairmanship continues to guide CICA’s advancement under the capable leadership of the current and future Chairs, including brotherly Azerbaijan.
On this special occasion, the CICA Secretariat conveys its warm wishes of peace, well-being and prosperity to the people of Kazakhstan.
