Astana, 7 December 2025 — The Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) took part in the XVI Charity Bazaar, the signature annual event organized by the Ambassadors’ Spouses Association of foreign countries accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Held at the Radisson Hotel Astana, the Bazaar gathered the diplomatic community, international organizations, schools and charitable foundations for a day dedicated to generosity, cultural exchange and goodwill.

The Charity Bazaar is more than a festive tradition — it is a form of people-to-people diplomacy, where every stand, alive with colours, music and flavours, becomes a welcoming corner of cultural exchange, and where CICA was proudly represented through meaningful works, including the “Tales of Asia” Collection. Its pages invite young and adult readers alike to step into the world of Asian folklore, discovering stories that broaden horizons and deepen appreciation of the region’s rich cultural heritage.

All proceeds generated at the Charity Bazaar were directed to support vulnerable groups in Kazakhstan. The Bazaar demonstrated how collective compassion can translate into real assistance, and how diplomatic engagement extends beyond formal meetings into acts of shared humanity.
CICA Secretary General Ambassador Kairat Sarybay highlighted that this valued tradition unites many cultures in a spirit of kindness and mutual support. He noted that the event echoes the philosophy of CICA, reflecting the values of dialogue and solidarity at the heart of the organization.

The CICA Secretariat values the dedication of the organizers and participants and remains ready to join initiatives that inspire solidarity and benefit local communities. Such events remind us that diplomacy also lives in warm encounters, shared smiles and joint efforts to make a positive difference.
