
17 December 2025 – The Digital Transformation and Innovation Forum for CICA Member States was held online, bringing together representatives of government institutions and experts to exchange practical perspectives and explore shared approaches to evolving digital realities across the region and beyond.
The event was hosted by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with the CICA Secretariat. Discussions addressed core dimensions of digital transformation, including digital government solutions, artificial intelligence, innovation ecosystems, and capacity building, with particular attention given to practical implementation and lessons drawn from national experience.

Addressing the Forum, CICA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Farid Damirli highlighted digitalization as an increasingly integral element of effective governance, resilient public service delivery and sustainable economic development across the CICA region. He noted that cooperation and experience sharing in digital government, artificial intelligence and innovation ecosystems support greater trust, policy coherence and stronger regional connectivity among CICA Member States.

The substantive exchange was enriched by presentations from representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Türkiye and the State of Palestine, who shared national approaches to developing digital public services, promoting innovation driven solutions and strengthening institutional capacities. While reflecting diverse national contexts, the presentations also revealed shared priorities and common challenges faced by Member States in advancing digital transformation.

The Forum further examined opportunities for enhanced regional cooperation through coordinated digital initiatives, structured experience sharing and practical collaboration within the CICA framework, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in advancing inclusive and sustainable digital development.
