Astana, 19 December 2025 — The Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, received Her Excellency Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Kazakhstan, at CICA Headquarters.
During the meeting, the Secretary General expressed appreciation for another voluntary financial contribution by the Kingdom of Thailand to the budget of the CICA Secretariat. The continued financial support extended by the Royal Thai Embassy in recent years reflects Thailand’s steady engagement in strengthening the operational capacity of the Secretariat and supporting the effective delivery of CICA’s activities.
The Secretary General also conveyed gratitude to the Thai side for the donation of a distinguished replica of the Suphannahong Royal Barge, which is now displayed at the CICA Headquarters. This symbolic contribution embodies Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and stands as a visible expression of its engagement in shaping the shared institutional space of CICA.
Welcoming Thailand’s continued engagement in the CICA process, the Secretary General underlined the role of voluntary contributions in supporting the effective functioning of the Secretariat and advancing confidence building efforts among CICA Member States. He expressed confidence that the constructive interaction between the CICA Secretariat and the Kingdom of Thailand would continue to develop in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
