Participants: Representatives of CICA Member States, international organizations, UN entities, women-related agencies, academia and civil society organizations participating in the CSW70.
Objectives:
The side event aims to highlight the efforts of CICA Member States in advancing women’s empowerment and promoting women’s meaningful participation in decision-making processes across the CICA region. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss ongoing cooperation within the human dimension of CICA, including the establishment of the CICA Women Council as a new advisory body dedicated to enhancing dialogue and collaboration among Member States on women’s issues. The discussion will further raise awareness about upcoming initiatives under the Azerbaijani Chairmanship, including the planned CICA conference “Amplifying Women’s Voices across CICA for Sustainable Growth” to be held in Baku in April 2026.
