Objectives:
The workshop aims to facilitate exchange of experience and enhance awareness among regulators and mining enterprises of CICA Member States on the application of risk-based approaches in industrial safety. The discussions will cover key aspects of categorizing mining facilities based on potential accident and incident risks, the use of risk-based tools in supervisory activities, including risk indicators, as well as approaches to optimizing the frequency of inspections while maintaining a high level of safety. The workshop will also contribute to strengthening practical cooperation among CICA Member States and may support consideration of including mining safety in the CICA Catalogue of Сonfidence Building Measures.
