Participants: representatives of CICA Member States, relevant international and regional organizations, academia, think tanks and experts working on sustainable land management, ecosystem restoration, sustainable rangeland management, biodiversity conservation and combating desertification.
Objective: The panel aims to highlight the importance of sustainable land management and ecosystem restoration, including the sustainable management, restoration and conservation of rangelands, for sustainable development and resilient livelihoods; exchange experiences and good practices on combating desertification, addressing land degradation, and restoring degraded ecosystems; explore practical approaches addressing climate change, land degradation, biodiversity conservation, rangeland health and pastoralist resilience; promote knowledge-sharing, innovation, and science-based policymaking; and identify opportunities for technical cooperation and capacity-building among CICA Member States.
