The CICA Secretariat, in partnership with the city administration of Astana, organized the first ski tour with the participation of ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Astana.
The event, which took place at the Astana Golf Club, marked the closing of the winter season in the Kazakh capital.
Participants, many of whom stood on skis for the first time, were offered a choice of two ski distances – 600 and 3,000 metres – covered under the able guidance of instructors from the Kazakhstan Ski Association.
Guests of the event, held in the spirit of friendship and solidarity, commended the organizers and emphasized the importance of promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle, which is a key factor in sustainable development.
Holding cultural and sports events has become a good tradition in CICA. The first-ever CICA bike tour and mini-football tournament were organized in 2022. This year, the Secretariat is planning to hold another sports event – a table tennis tournament.
