The Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat Ambassador Kairat Sarybay paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan H.E. Mr.Rashad Mammadov on November 18, 2020,
Ambassador R.Mammadov shared information on the situation in the period after the Statement of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the Russian Federation on a ceasefire and all hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict of November 10, 2020 was adopted.
Ambassador K. Sarybay encouraged Azerbaijan in capacity of the Coordinator of CBMs in the field of "Development of safe and efficient systems of transport corridors" make a greater contribution to achieving the CICA objectives.
Ambassador K.Sarybay also informed that on December 9 and 11, 2020 meetings of the CICA Special Working Group and the Committee of Senior Officials will be held online. It is expected that new Chairmanship’s proposals aimed at further CICA institutionalization will be discussed.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan expressed his readiness to participate in the future activities of the informal Club of Ambassadors of the CICA Member States in Nur-Sultan.
The interlocutors agreed to intensify cooperation within the CICA framework.
