The Executive Director H.E. Ambassador Mr. Kairat Sarybay had a joint courtesy meeting with Mr. Aziz Omar the Charge d’affairs of Afghanistan, Ms. Najlaa Thamer Mahmood the Charge d’affairs of Iraq, Mr. Paradorn Rangsiporn the Charge d’affairs of Thailand in Nur-Sultan on December 03, 2020.
In very engaging meeting held at CICA Secretariat’s headquarters, Executive Director briefed the parties on current developments and future prospects of CICA process under the Kazakh Chairmanship. Executive Director encouraged the parties for more proactive participation at CICA platform, and also highlighted the need of coordinated efforts towards creating an atmosphere of confidence aimed at promoting peace, security and stability in the region and beyond.
Interlocutors reaffirmed their commitments to CICA objectives and agreed to strengthen the cooperation among the member states in order to address the common challenges and implement various Confidence building measures.
