The UAE share the goals and objectives of the CICA and is ready to contribute to the development of the forum, said Charge d'Affaires of the United Arab Emirates in Kazakhstan, Mr. Ammar Albreiki, who visited the CICA headquarters on December 7, 2020.
Ambassador K.Sarybay briefed the interlocutor about preparations for the meetings of the Special Working Group and the Committee of Senior Officials to be held in December 2020.
The Executive Director suggested UAE to volunteer as a participant in one of the areas of the Economic Dimension, in particular, in the field of international trade and maritime communications, given the UAE’s competitive advantage in the above-mentioned areas. In this regard, the experience sharing workshops for representatives of 27 CICA member states to contribute to the implementation of the Confidence Building Measures.
Ambassador K.Sarybay expressed interest in the secondment of diplomats at the Secretariat from the states of the Persian Gulf.
Mr. A. Albreiki made a proposal to invite as a "CICA guest" for those states that are considering the prospects of joining the CICA. He also noted that the supervising Vice minister of Foreign Affairs will represent the UAE at the upcoming CICA SOC meeting.
