21 February 2024 — Astana — Mrs Zhang Ling, Deputy Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), visited the Nomad Academy of Choreography in the capital of Kazakhstan.
In her address to the students of the Academy, Mrs Zhang Ling noted the important role of culture in establishing dialogue and bringing together different nations. She stressed the possibilities of building cultural ties and cooperation at the CICA platform.
The Deputy Secretary General and the Academy leadership discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Secretariat and the educational institution in organizing events aimed at strengthening friendship and promoting the cultural heritage of the CICA Member States through the popularization of Asian dances. Mrs Zhang Ling was presented with choreographic performances of the "Dances of the Peoples of the World" project by students of the Academy.
The Nomad Academy of Choreography is one of Kazakhstan's leading institutions of additional vocational education in choreography. Over the 11 years since it was established, the Academy has been a laureate and grand prize winner of many international competitions and festivals. The Academy is working hard to strengthen friendly relations between Kazakhstan and other countries and sees its mission as promoting the dances of various peoples of the world.
